The POWER OF YOUR MIND….

I have been introducing people to the positive powers of changing your mindset in order to lead a happier, more fulfilling and successful life.

I present some words on how to become more actively positive, it’s not just about thinking a few good thought then it all comes to you.  It is a work in progress, a new way of living your life, a positive mind as the natural thought process.

If you have a look at the site and read about the content of the meet up you will see words like motivation, confidence, Law of Attraction, The Secret, Energy Activation, Action planning and other juicy stuff..

There are over 800 members of this group and yet I struggle to get 10 to a meeting – so what happens to my mindset.

Let me share something with you that is quite natural with many people… We start something with great intentions and expectations, then it has a slow start so our enthusiasm wains because we become despondent and unsure of ourselves – maybe people don’t want my style of teaching?

My blog, started well with people actually commenting but then you get a day when people don’t comment or share or like – then your mind starts to play tricks on you…

.Your mind is telling you ..

oh so quietly shhhhhhh “Give up Gill, Give up, what are you doing woman?, why are you bothering?” etc

 

Ahhhhhhhh quit now Gill, no one wants to read your drivel !!!! Well OK it’s tough when your thoughts kick into negativity which is much easier by the way than thinking uber positive all the time.

 

So this is what is happening – what do we do?

 

QUICKLY – RECOGNISE that you are in a naughty spiral of negative thinking, ask yourself why did you start, what was your intention.

MINE was and still is to help people overcome things that I have battled my way through, teaching myself skills, because crikey my mind just would waller in the depths of despair unless I drag it screaming into the 10 minutes breathing and smiling meditation.

TODAY  this morning I treated myself to 10 minutes outside listening for bird song, and then had a day off basically chatting with friends and relaxing.

Then it came to the time to write the blog, and my first thought was, ahh who will notice if I don’t bother today?

 

ME – I will notice

and – I am the important one in this Blog Challenge.

I hope that some of these words resonate with you, have you experienced such strong negative self talk that you have actually quit?

Well, in future give your mind a rest immediately you hear the nasty one in your head telling you you are rubbish, or fat, or ugly or useless – get your mind rested by distraction or meditation or empowerment or whatever it takes for you to restore yourself to a better happier more pro-active you.

 

Funnily whilst I’ve been writing this my husband has returned from work and said “why do I put myself under all this blog writing pressure”  haha there we are – negative talk, intended for me to throw down the keyboard and do nothing.

 

MY ORIGINAL INTENTION – THE REASON I STARTED

I feel deeply I have a message to share, one that I hope uplifts you, makes you thing better things for yourself, helps you become more loving to yourself – I have learn’t skills ones that help me get right back on track when My mind wants me to quit – That’s my intention, Helping  you helps me and that’s great for us both.

Sharing our greatness makes us all great, we are enough as we are – and the great Zig Ziglar once said

“IF WE ONLY HELP ENOUGH PEOPLE GET WHAT THEY WANT WE ULTIMATELY GET WHAT WE WANT”

Use your mind wisely,

Train your mind constantly

Build it into a highly charged magnet for wonderful thoughts, deeds and actions

YOUR MIND IS BEAUTIFUL – JUST AS YOU ARE
