Today I am really not feeling this blogging malarkey, I have had a busy day and looking for an interesting topic is escaping me.

So I think I will listen to a friend of mine who has had feelings of Resentment today.
It is such a powerful feeling, it has the strength of an ox and the manipulative power to take over precious space in your mind.
I know resentment and its a feeling you really don’t want to have regularly – it drains you of your energy and makes you weak and tired
What is it ?
Bitter indignation at having been treated unfairly:
Ouch, it hurts so much having this as a feeling – your mind gets wrapped up in the unfairness and the pain grows with each thought
It really isn’t fair to feel Resentment, as by its very nature – someone else has given it to us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OR HAVE THEY
Remember yesterday we were talking about the power of the mind albeit a very brief chat, if we allow resentment into our beautiful heads it will eat away at us until the bitterness rises and anger follows and before we know it we are very unhappy individuals.
Can we control these feelings – of course we can – but how?
If we recognise that we are experiencing regular feelings of resentment then we will become victims in our own lives.
So its important to recognise that we are feeling this way and also really know that the feeling only gets worse unless we learn to nip it in the bud.
ARE WE A VICTIM ? or are we human ????
Recognise that we are feeling resentment
Realise that this feeling is worth nothing
Resentment does not get better
Resentment eats away at us until we are bitter and twisted
Make a new practice…………
What am I feeling resentment over? Will it help me to think these thoughts?
Can we come up with a positive solution to turn the feeling into a practical ,productive feeling – ?
Can we flip the thoughts so that we think of much better things?
When all else fails have a nap
Lets just say we can’t have a nap in work or on the tube so – we give our mind a mini, secret nap buy letting go of the nasty thoughts
We can do this anywhere we are.
Play the distraction game
Bad thought comes into head…………………….FLIP EYES AROUND TO FIND SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT

Kindness and compassion is a great way to distract yourself…… offer your seat to anyone ?
Send good thoughts out willy nilly
do a good thoughts meditation or mindful minute
YES, Just one minute of being mindful about being lovely to yourself
Expect a great outcome

Hey people – others don’t cause your resentment you do !!!
So maybe take your own mucky wellies off and shake loose the bitter clingy thoughts that are stopping you for moving forward.
