As I nearly missed my 100% blogging for 100 days because I didn’t get on with it in the morning yesterday – I am activating my energy in this direction to “Get the Job Done” because
I wake up in the morning and my first realisation is … I’m alive and breathing and I have slept –
I choose my intention and the first thing I physically do is Smile
Then I get up – I have now got a better habit of getting up quickly after waking (as long as its sensible time – not 3am or something mad) –
I look at my room and focus on my absolute joy of being here, not just physically in that room, that space, the house, the place
BUT I AM ALIVE…… Yayyyyyy
I had a revelation last year driving back from dropping my daughter Livvy off to live in Newcastle. We were driving along the road near Hadrians Wall. A feeling of time came to me and I thought about 2000 years ago when men, women and children were building a wall to protect themselves – did they have a priviledge of thinking about time? I’m sure they just got on with their lives and how different from mine that would have been.
(I’ve seen the films !!!)
My revelation or epiphany was that time goes so quickly, did those people building a wall ever think that wall would still be there in 2000 years and who are the ancestors of those people? So many have been and gone …. whoosh Life happens so quickly ……
My thoughts wandered to the shepherds walking the fields – If we layered the generations over all the areas walked by so many over 2000 years, did any of them think,
That out of 2000 years the average life is about 70 – 80 years?
Not much hey. Don’t want to depress you, in fact I want to do the exact opposite.
BE HAPPY NOW
Don’t wait to be happy , I hear this a lot….
I’ll be happy when …….I get myself well, I lose weight, I get my house decorated, I de clutter, I get a new partner, I get the garden done, I get myself sorted, I get a new job blah blah blah
Choose to be happy NOW
Here’s a link to some pintrest quotes and images to make you think about being happy NOW
I particularly like the one that refers to being a miserable cow.
OK you say but how.
Simple – build into your average 75 years a small daily practice of 15 minutes meditation, mindfulness or Hypnosis call it what you will.
Think happy for 15 minutes a day and your brain will love you for it.
Chemical reactions take place, you will start to be happier …. I know it because I could easily be a miserable cow
So, here’s a little challenge for #sefishSunday – give yourself 15 minutes of thinking happy thoughts about yourself, note the things you like – your eyes, your beautiful smile, your happy demeanour, your compassion for others, your body, your brain, your fabulousness
PLEASE don’t wait – start today
NOW IS THE TIME – Imagine yourself Happy –
Smile more (even if it is fake)
Or play happiness music in the background
or a few words of non- religious wisdom from the Dali Lama
