I had such a great day yesterday playing little games with my family – it was brilliant to hear the house full of laughter again and it was so easy to organise.
Do stuff with your family or if no family friends, if no friends then play both sides in draughts or connect 4 or any game that will make you smile.
The competitive element comes out and the faces will to win appears – it’s so funny watching your daughter and her father battle it out like it was a world series final of connect 4 –
“FAMILIES THAT PLAY TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER” ……. Especially if there is free food and lots of Booze !!!!
My idea was to create a fun day for them but it really was for me to see my kids having fun again – they now have work and rent/mortages to pay and life can seem tough to them – they did come with gifts and cards and that’s lovely of them. But the real gift was of their precious Time.
So if you want your family to visit more, create a fun afternoon of crazy games. We have yet to do snakes and ladders, darts, pool, frisbie and sack/egg and spoon race. But it’s Sunday and they need their sleep.
My little message today is don’t be lonely find an activity – if you are over 50 look in your area for a u3A group – they may do art or poetry or table tennis ???? Get out and play more – find your fun again.
It’s so easy to get wrapped up in self, in family, in others….
It could be time to look at your life, like I am looking at mine and think well it’s now or never. Don’t wait for a better day, stop saying “I will when I get this sorted or done” DO IT NOW
You will achieve much more if you just bring in some fun. Your chemicals will boom up with fun chemicals which are contagious and you will catch FUN !!!!! of everyone you meet… BE THE FUN ONE – they may think as you as the crazy one !!! Take it as a compliment
Today I will start also writing stuff in my new journal and see what that brings into life for me.
I love talking to you on this blog, I love that I am changing my life again, I know that we can all be helping each other at whatever stage of life.
I’ll leave you with a #pearlofwisdom from Betty Church my beautiful friend who is 90 #belikebetty
“CAST YOUR WORRIES TO THE WIND” wave your arm out like she would just to make sure they are gone – she likes to
add “Not the Westerly Wind, that’s the naughty wind”
So I tell you where I’m headed then…. West it is !!!
