I am late blogging today because I have been out on the boat, the first sleep over and it didn’t quite go as expected !!!
I was anticipating my first morning waking in the good floating vessel “Amy Belle” to be an idyllic experience…. little did I know that ducks start quacking at 4am and other creatures start creating at ungodly hours….. and every single slight noise alerted Jas into a protective bark mode !! so as comfy as the bed is and how I was using positive sleep meditation ….. I was woken up every half hour by at first a cute little bark, then it turned into the the most annoying barking ever !!!! “Jassy, do be quiet turned into ……Shutttttt upppppppp”… but because she is only 7 months old… we have to make allowances… and we did sleep inbetween the awakey bits .. so I will not moan..
So how fabulous there I was awake and afloat and alive on a boat on the canal and it was a dream come true.
I got up and put the kettle on the gas stove and breathed in the absolute joy of boat ownership. It also was a lovely slightly warm dry morning.
Life was good.
We met the other boaters at the Breakfast cruise venue then ventured off to do our very first lock
We were with our new friend and canal boat helper John Gibbons who set sail with us towards the magnificent Lock, Appley Bridge..
It is huge, but on the way the scenery is so lovely you cannot even start to stress out about the lock.
The lock was done and we enjoyed our journey back….
And boom….. this is what I live for… this sunset over the marina – How flipping blessed am I .
So really I could blab on about my day, but let’s just enjoy this sunset.
Short and sweet blog of sheer happiness – Tired???? Nope because life was exciting today. I got out and lived.
I hope you get to see a beautiful sunset soon. Look for one
hugs and love
