I am feeling like a bit of a hypocrite sitting here watching the golf on the telly at home after spending all morning at Royal Birkdale – The 2017 Open golf Championships. I knew Tommy Fleetwood and his caddy from the gym at Formby Hall Golf Club and have watched him become this top class golfer. So needless to say as he is playing in the open I have a real interest in following him play.
However I am finding a golf bug overtaking me, I am loving the play and the players, the skill, the etiquette and the nature involved.
It was so lovely being on the course this morning, breathing in the sea air and seeing all the undulations of our local nature reserve and the golf course.
I will now refer back to a blog where I was fed up because Simon was off playing golf and I was chucking my Teddy in the corner and stamping my foot. But to be honest, If it wasn’t for my back problem, I think I would be smashing balls around the countryside as well ….. I used to play and loved it. But during a period of Tamoxifen medication my joints were so bad I could only stand up for 20 minutes at a time, now I have this back problem…. Maybe golf isn’t going to be a thing for me.
But I really will try to be more understanding about the absence of my husband ….. Maybe I could walk round? We will see.
I even met Tommy Fleetwood walking down my road when I got home !!! and had a cheeky photo with him and the guy from the golf club who played to make up the numbers today.
It’s bringing such a great feel good feeling to our area. I am privileged to be here –
What I’ve been thinking about with these golfers is their immense power of their minds.
There are noises all around them and yet they have a tunnel vision, an ability to focus, to cut out everything. The pressure to perform at this level is incredible and yet they make it look so easy.
They look like they are having fun ! What an incredible thing, to be earning a fortune playing a sport you love !!!
I’ve been tweeting positive mindset tweets to Tommy Fleetwood, I really believe that we can create a positive energy if we all work together. Imagine being in a place where everyone’s energy is focused on you and its all good energy? The power of Positive Thinking in these golfers takes a new level.
Tunnel vision and total belief….
Knowing what we want and expecting to get it
Learning to dream and expecting those dreams to become a reality – I mean why wouldn’t they.
So what are we waiting for ? let’s take the lead from these golfers. Know what we want and make sure it’s something that we love.
Imagine a fabulous life of doing what we love everyday?
Well why can’t it be ours? Answer… no reason – we just need to make it happen.
So I am signing off with an uber positive attitude and a vision of what I want…
A cup of tea and a lie down …. (it’s hard work running up and down those hills hoping to catch a glimpse of a putt or a drive !!)
Much love and Belief in you.
