Humming ….. is good for your Vagus Nerve ????

I’m going to do a series of short info blogs about the things I am hearing about but need more information.  So I will share a few links via the blog to see if it informs us all better.

I was googling mental health, as we all do from time to time. But particularly for me because I was doing all the right things.  Meditating, nature, mindfulness etc.  But I was getting the most severe “Down” times and they were getting worse.

So, my own advice was followed – After writing a book helping mild depression and social unhappiness (The 30 Day Mindset Diet) I was scratching my head over the fact that for these few infrequent days I was a lost soul, confidence gone, feeling of gloom and despondency on a newer, lower level. ??? What was going on.

My Dr said “It’s your age” another said “you are depressed” !!! So anyway the point of this blog today is not really to find out what is causing my “Black hole of misery” but to see what google told me !!!

Happy searching computer

So firstly I played my lovely “Positive Audio” music which really does enhance the way you feel and then I put into google search many different crazy things… “Am I going bonkers, if google could speak and God forbid it ever will (imagine that !!!).  it would have replied by firstly laughing out loud, then saying through its giggles “Gill, do you really need to ask” !!!!

Ah haaaa, got it. What I need to do is up the game on the binaural tones – like listen to solfreggio for hours on end and trance out (lol) or maybe I could kill people who irritate me??? oops been watching “Killing Eve”.  Or…….. I could bang tuning forks together to create the right sound to activate healing within my vagus nerve !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now picture the scene

Gill is now in her cabin …. with her tuning fork, shaman drum, singing bowl, bashing away at a clamorousness of noise and vibration and the sheer hilarity of it is making her laugh at herself. (clamorousness is a real word btw – google it lol).

But this vagus nerve does stuff to the body and apparently humming helps it. Must be the vibration of the throat.  But I’ll put a link on at the bottom so you can read about it in more detail.  I will ask Dr Wendy to see if she has any information about how the vagus nerve can be healed so we can all enjoy better mental health.

But until then…. hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Happy vagus nerves to us all…..
